Anthony David Gonzalez played American football for 17 seasons, as tight-ends within the National Football League. He is one of the NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third best overall receivers, he has been named the NFL's leading tight end in terms of yards received, receptions made, etc.

The former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons All-Pro tight end Tony Gonzalez currently serves as a FOX Sports Studio analyst. Gonzalez was a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's hour-long NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL SUNSET) that airs each Sunday at 11:00 AM ET during the NFL season.
Gonzalez's assertion that he would retire in the NFL at the end of 2013 was not true. On March 15 2013 Gonzalez signed with Falcons a 2-year contract for $14,000,000. Randy Moss announced his retirement in 2012, as did Gonzalez (37 years old) spent last season as NFL's leading receiver.
